This project was for an elderly couple who had moved into a new home but could no longer mow large areas or slopes. They have a love for perennial cottage gardens but are no longer able to do the labour to keep up the maintenance the way they used to.
Being a new build, soil preparation was crucial!
We then used a plant selection to achieve their desired cottage garden feel – but without the high maintenance that would usually come with such a garden.
The new garden makes for a stunning vista, looking both up the road and out from the house – and it saved them from having to mow large spaces.
